Orangeville gets a taste of HSF

On Thursday, Aug. 27, the Humber Students’ Federation took part in the Orangeville campus’ orientation festivities, hosting a free lunch for all students and their families.
Humber students crammed the second floor restaurant at the Alder Street Recreation Complex for a Student Services Panel Discussion featuring speeches by Humber President John Davies, Director of Orangeville campus Joe Andrews, Deputy Mayor of the town of Orangeville Warren Maycock and HSF President Shugufa Kaker.

Commencing Earth Week

The Humber Students’ Federation is taking its initiative to aid in creating a more environmentally-friendly place to live to a campus-wide level with Humber Earth Week from Monday, Apr. 6 to Thursday, Apr. 9.

Bi-Annual General Meeting

On Wednesday Mar. 25, the Humber Students’ Federation hosted its Bi-Annual General Meeting at the Lakeshore campus H caf.
Over 50 students came out to take part in the meeting, letting their voice be heard in the process.
Several notions such as the approval of the HSF election results, program representatives, directors, and the authorization of the HSF 2009-2010 budget were resolved at the meeting.

The 7th annual HSF Gala

Tickets are currently on sale for the 7th Annual Humber Students’ Federation Gala. A Roman theme will be the decor this year at Le Jardin banquet hall in Woodbridge. It will take place on Thursday, Apr. 30th and buses will be available for pick up and return at both North and Lakeshore campuses.

Students elect four new Vice Presidents

Polling stations have closed and the results are in. Humber ITAL’s student body has elected their 2009-2010 Humber Students’ Federation Vice Presidents.
Close races created tense expressions as all candidates entered the HSF board room on Friday, March 13, awaiting the election results.
