The HSF Shinerama car wash
September 16, 2009

BY THOMAS HURST Staff Reporter
What started as a mere idea from students in residence quickly culminated into a community wide fundraising event known as Shinerama.
On Sept. 4, a group of roughly 35 student volunteers joined with HSF for a BBQ and car wash in efforts to raise both awareness and funds for the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
“The main reason the HSF became involved is because it’s a great cause to get behind,” Ben Rodgers, VP of Campus Life at Humber ITAL’s North campus, said. “It’s also a great way to begin building that relationship with the student residence.”
