Nomination packages are now available for students wanting to fill positions on the Humber Students' Federation (HSF) Board of Directors team.
The non-profit corporation has its student board make all its major decisions from financial assessments, strategic planning, policies and constitution.

Meetings of the minds

On Wednesday, Oct. 14, the Humber Students’ Federation executives and board members held their bi-annual general meeting in the HSF Student Centre at North campus.
The meeting allowed the board to ratify the new board members and present the financial statements from last year’s budget. The statements created an open forum for board members and students in attendance to discuss the allocation of HSF funds.

Worries they say, go down better with soup and that is the idea behind the Humber Students’ Federation Food Program. However, the HSF Food Program provides you with more than just soup to drown your worries. Every year, students in need are provided with a variety of non-perishable food items to help “cancel items off their grocery list.” Also included are personal hygiene items as well as necessary household items such as detergent and dishwashing liquid.

Skateboarding and martial arts

A lot of new and creative clubs have been created this year, but the Skateboarding and Martial Arts Association seems like one that will be more than just a social get-together. The creator and current president of the club, Glenn Barbosa, is in his final semester of Business Management at Humber ITAL and explains that he wants to change the stigma attached to skateboarding.
