Hawks look for redemption

This past weekend the Humber Hawks men’s and women’s soccer teams competed in the Ontario College Athletic Association championships and both came away disappointed. Both teams entered the competition as the top ranked team in the country but the men would come away with a fourth place finish and the women would settle for bronze.

The movie was only a few minutes in and it was already packed tighter than sardines. “Well duh, Gerard Butler is in it,” I thought. “Stupid me.” Luckily, I managed to find a seat in the front row and proceeded to spend the next hour and a half screaming.

The Creative Photography student at Humber ITAL is currently in her last semester, and says she plans on travelling the world once she’s done.

Blood; It’s not just for vampire bats

A blood-filled Humber ITAL Concourse caught the attention of many students last week in an event that would have made Dracula drool.
One-by-one, students lined up to have their vital fluid extracted by – not vampires – but registered nurses (who can be equally frightening when holding a syringe).

First Amazing Race Event doesn’t fall short

On Thursday, Oct. 14 the Humber Students’ Federation held its first-ever Amazing Race competition at Humber ITAL. The seven hour long event took place at both the North and Lakeshore campuses. Ten sets of two students competed for a grand prize of $1,000 cold cash and two trips for two to Montreal for New Year’s Eve.
