Michelle Commandant, a 19-year-old Kinesiology student from the University of Guelph-Humber, discovered her interest in basketball throughout life. Starting at the age of eight, she played basketball for 12 years. Canada vs. U.S.A: Close but no cigar

The 2009-2010 International Ice Hockey Federation World Juniors Tournament ended last Tuesday, Jan. 5. Canada battled the U.S.A. for gold and lost with a sudden death victory shot. The entire season saw some great action on the ice from the Canadian team. Team forward, Taylor Hall, opened the scoring for Canada in their first game against Sweden on Sunday, Dec. 20. Hall paved the way for five more goals for Canada, ending the game with a 6-2 victory.
