Last Friday, Melissa Mendes took the position of Vice President Campus Life at North with a shout of delight and arms held high in triumph. As she bounced out of the Humber Students’ Federation (HSF) boardroom, she made no attempt to conceal her excitement at winning the student body’s support.

You’ve identified your bad habits and poor behaviours and decided to take action by making new year resolutions. Your intentions are good, but let me tell you something: you’re setting yourself up for failure.
