Pro pool player Gerry Watson amazes with cool tricks

The HSF Games Room was full of excitement on Tuesday, Mar. 10, when students watched in amazement as Gerry Watson, professional pool player, combined speed with tricks as he made unbelievable shots. He visited Lakeshore Campus in the morning and came to the North campus from 2-4 p.m. He not only showed off his skills, but also helped interested students learn more about the game and how to improve their techniques.

Toronto’s mayor visits Humber

Journalism students at Humber ITAL received first-hand experience in their field when Toronto Mayor, David Miller, came to speak to them about his role in our city. The presentation was held in the Seventh Semester Room on Mar. 11 at 10 a.m. Miller talked about his role as mayor, and then answered students questions until 11:30 a.m. He has visited Humber the past few years to talk to students.

The Gree Report: One School, 10,000 Acts of Green

An initiative scout for eco-friendly performances is underway and Mother Earth is providing the stage.
The Humber Students’ Federation and Humber ITAL are seeking environmentally-conscious students, staff and faculty to participate in their 10,000 Acts of Green campaign.
The project will kick off the numerous celebrations and events currently being planned by the college and HSF for their very own Earth Week, which is scheduled for April 6 - 9.
