Lol, lmao, haha...what’s so funny?
March 19, 2009

BY COREY JOHNSON Managing Editor
The Internet is ruining proper English: I’m sure of it. Do me a favour and open up your MSN Messenger conversation history. How many lol’s, lmao’s, or brb’s do you see? I’ll answer for you: way too many.
Before I go on, let me just say I’m guilty as charged. I am addicted to the three letter word of “lol”. Looking over my conversation histories, I seem to start or end just about every sentence I say with those three annoying letters.

No, Canada
March 19, 2009

Last week, Canada was eliminated from the World Baseball Classic in the first round, against Italy on home turf. How does a team who almost upset the Americans for the second straight WBC two days before, get beat 6-2 by the Italians?
