Nilda the “Franchise” kicks it on and off the field

Nilda “Franchise” Correia’s passion for soccer has been with her for as long as she can remember. She’s a first-year Law Clerk Diploma student at Humber ITAL but had previously acquired a diploma in Police Foundations, also from Humber.
Correia says she’s been playing the game since she was seven years old. She joined her first team at 14 and played for her high school where she was voted Most Valuable Player four years in a row. She currently plays the ‘midfield on the wing’ position for Humber Hawks soccer team.

Hawks addicted to goose eggs

The Humber Hawks soccer teams continued to soar this week as both the men and women remained undefeated.
The women appear to be in cruise control as they earned three straight 3-0 victories over Sheridan, Niagara and Mohawk to earn a perfect 10-0 record and the honour of being the top rated team in the country.

Humber cross country team on top of the world

The results are in and they aren’t shabby for Humber ITAL’s men’s and women’s cross country teams. Both teams pulled through a very competitive and well ran race last Saturday, Oct. 3rd in Peterborough. Although the day started off with precarious weather conditions, the teams didn’t let it get them down. Both men’s and women’s teams were determined to overcome any obstacle, including two rolled ankles by one female competitor in particular. Their solid efforts achieved them high overall standings in the day’s event.

While their latest full feature album, Jackson Square didn’t become popular until recently, songs like ‘The Ballad of Hugo Chavez’ and ‘Deadlines’ have hit positive notes with music lovers everywhere.
